Killer "If you go to vote, not vote against yourself / a"

Declaration Frente Popular Darío Santillán
to the elections on 28 June.

If you go to vote, no votes against the people.
not vote against yourself / a.
Before and after the June 28
Unite, Organize, fight. I built
popular power.

On June 28, again there
national elections. The chances of winning alternatives are conducted by political parties that represent the interests of the people.

The government, led by PJ-FPV Kirchner increasingly tied to political and trade union bureaucracy, including one of the Peronist right figures of 90, Daniel Scioli. Neodevelopmentalist cutting its policy primarily benefits the exporters of natural resources such as oil companies, mines, barns, and secondly, some industry groups that live forever tied to state subsidies, with all the people they maintains its rate of profit.

As part of a global crisis that is sweeping the world and we're paying the workers, Argentina is no exception to the rule of all countries of the mestizo, rich "resources." In the international division of labor mandated by the powerful, Our American territories are intended to penetration and plunder by transnational corporations, mainly American and European. And the government "national and popular" policy encourages this, both from their provincial governments and from offices that aim to sell out the country in the world. Just see how they are made Argentine exports and the role of different economic sectors in them, to observe the new colonialism, who does not care that much about the speeches, but how much benefit particular state policies.

Refusing to face the possibility of the crisis with measures for the people, the government chooses to deal with claims employers: the idea is to have a high dollar, which blend the "wage costs" to make them more competitive (to them), while keeping jobs in conditions poor, to ensure that any labor rights will hinder the needs of capital, if the rate of profit falls and you have to fire, suspend or cut wages, well done. In business strategy, precarious plays a central role in the task of dividing the labor force, disciplining the factory. And those who remain outside, as surplus of useful work for the system, it is years and years to follow plans social equivalent of crumbs, which are devalued every day and show the cynicism of the ruling class: they are not even able to universalize that minimal assistance, first of all, is divided among its leading clientele.

foreignizers and the people, the pattern of looting and low wages is shared (and more) by the figures of the opposition right, represented by the Peronist and Radical impresentable back together after the debacle of 2001. The right is to deepen the model, strengthening ties with imperialism, shaking the theme of "insecurity" to emphasize repression and giving even greater assurance business for a few settled in the hunger of millions.

As part of this network, it is natural that their ranks are responsible for the murder of Dario Santillan and Maximiliano Kosteki in the Slaughter of Avellaneda, who tried to meet the demand of economic power, the Association of Banks, the Rural Society - to put order on June 26, 2002. Felipe Solá and Alfredo Atanasof, until members of the government minutes "national and popular", are now candidates for the top of the list of PRO Union, behind which lies, as is widely known, although neither is mentioned in media monopoly, the very Eduardo Duhalde.

The Government and the rightist opposition essentially share the output of the economic crisis must be to benefit large companies: "national" (eg Techint, Arcor) and abroad (Mercedes Benz, Peugeot-Citroen, Ford, among others). For more than a speech or another - some even very nationalistic! - Agree that first you have to subsidize capitalists because it benefits later (long after) they would spill over the people. Recipes we know too well how they end: the rich leaking currencies, the poor paying the price increases. Thus their political ends downloading the effects of the crisis on working people, through (lower) real wages (high) regressive taxes continues to fund the party of the few getting richer.

However, Kirchner propaganda "acts as if" they were diametrically opposed models. The government asks us to confront the useful vote advancing right. We still remember when we were asked vote climb useful to prevent Angeloz, who came "with the red pencil to cross state expenditures," and won Menem. We remember also when we called for the vote did not win useful for Duhalde, "the Vice President Menem ", and climbed De La Rua. We believe that this is not just about changing a necklace, but something more important.

why we say clearly: If you go to vote, do not do it for those who will implement policies against you, do not vote to Kirchner and his allies provincial or right-wing opposition expressed in partnerships Macri, Solá, Duhalde and de Narváez or between Carrio, the UCR and López Murphy.

And the popular? Do not have to stand for election?

The scenario seems to be complicated, because the sectors of workers hardly going to go after these elections favored. All are armed to legitimize a model that you keep the level of inequality, or at least make corrections "by right", deepening poverty and social insecurity in which the majority of the population.

Of course, there are also political forces of left and center-left to present their candidates in these elections, and do not believe are all the same. We recognize many of these forces comrades honest, but do not agree that the dispute on the same terms with the hegemonic parties to help secure crucial changes for the people. For this reason, at this stage we decided to focus all of our efforts to continue to generate grassroots organization and coordination among the popular sectors that we built to transform the unjust reality.

is not a matter of principle, nor do we believe that all political and election times are equal. The underlying problem here is that, as a people, we have failed the accumulation of power and influence necessary to intervene on our behalf in an institutional level where the rules of the game set the dominant classes. We face a disadvantage a system in which "democracy" is only an act of choice of who will rule without complying with the popular mandate without meeting the interests of workers, ruling in effect for those who hold real power in society. So build popular power is also encouraging other democracy: from the people, direct participation and assembly-revocable mandates and where those elected, be "obeying" the people, not economic power.

Argentina

The situation contrasts sharply with that of fraternal countries, where the people, as part of a struggle that goes beyond institutional, also occupies these spaces. Just to mention as an example the case of Bolivia, where electoral instrument was created by social movements after long process of struggle and accumulation of forces, a process that included uprisings and political crises in which the people achieved decisive victories, as the water war.

With many social and political forces surely we shall always find in the various struggles in neighborhoods and workplaces and study. Positions in this situation may be different: candidates themselves vote, abstain, vote white. Also the proposed vote, as promoted by Another Way to Overcome Crisis, the space in which we participate coordinating with groups and movements from different sectors. What critical at this stage, it seems, is to be clear the need to build unity in the actual fight. We work for the elections will not divide the resistance to adjustment policies. Policies already started and only promises to be worse.

We believe that after June 28 will open a scenario that will require the most extensive mobilization and unity of the people to resist those policies that seek to dominate us yet. Policies that aim to download the crisis on the backs of workers will be more obvious. We need to organize from below and join together to recover the assets of our territory, goods that have a direct effect in the lives of the working classes. We must strive to address the firings and suspensions, for wages and against precarious, for decent working conditions. We have to get social security so that all families, getting jobs and those that do not have a plate of food on the table. We have to have health, education, housing, justice. To achieve this we need to start generating the bonds that unite us with our / os peers. We must do more grassroots organization can put us in another situation of power. And beyond these elections, our peers are men and women who fight for other present and one future.

For all this, if you decide to vote, we propose that, as a first step, do not vote for candidates who will end up ruling against the people. And before and after June 28: Unite, Organize, fight. Among all people build popular power.

Only unity and organization will be setting the stage for another reality for everyone. Unit

In this framework included visits to educational and cultural experiences in suburban neighborhoods of La Plata that day to day betting to build another model of society and education, trying to generate through popular education practices a subject critical, creative, free, supportive, and questioning the basis of this unjust social system that oppresses us everyday.

Those interested in experiencing these practices were more than they could receive the same experience (more than 200 people participated.) That is why we decided to prioritize the participation of those who came from far away (inside the country or other countries.) However

1st National Forum on Education for Social Change

balance

FORUM 1st NACI O NAL of EDUCATION Ó N

for CHANGE O SOCIAL

Last weekend was carried out the first National Forum on Education Social Change in the city of La Plata. Around 2000 people from around the country and even the rest of Latin America, we found this space to discuss the current education system and transformative project that bet. From Black River provinces, Neuquén, Mendoza, La Pampa, San Luis, Córdoba, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Salta, Santa Fe, Misiones, Buenos Aires Federal Capital and people came to the Forum. They also said this comrades from Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Nicaragua.

Met an approach to the discussion of educational issues from a multisectoral perspective, giving space to voices of all involved in educational practices, both formal and nonformal. The bet was set up we met a look of general education from a perspective that tends to end the current fragmentation, to break down barriers and cross borders.

In this regard, the Forum served as a genuine meeting place for different experiences in working with development groups to participate in social movements, artistic, university student groups, secondary and tertiary guilds education workers.

During the course of it, we take stock of what palpably meant and means the advance of neoliberalism, its impact on educational content and how the commodification of all life inevitably affects the commercialization knowledge. Aware of the limits containing any conversion within a capitalist society that continues, we discussed about the need to build an education reform project that allows us to start building and imagine this the future we envision.
recognized that the road must be traveled to profound changes in the basic education system to defend public education, a defense seeking to recover the popular sense of the public, and that antagonize the expansion of private education that only contributes to the deepening of social differences.

In turn, we saw how this political project raises the importance of rebuilding the guild tools as organizational spaces, both for education workers and students. Recovering means not only conquer space but also creating a new meaning to the integral sense beyond the mere claim that corporate economic.

During the forum we suggest that a real transformation project should include alternative educational experiences that are carried out usually in areas non-formal, thereby seeking to recover the value of popular wisdom, placing them in a horizontal plane in relation to other types of knowledge recognized as scientific. At the same time must incorporate practices that promote artistic expressions of human creativity and they are planted against the discipline and the reduction of the imagination. Also in relation to the various modes of oppression and how we imagine that education must reverse the current mechanisms of social order, there is an approach that went through many instances of debate and had a central place in specific topics: how we will build debates about patriarchy and the forms this takes in our societies. In this sense, is a clear need exists to address ever more fully the discussion in terms of distorting practices and devices that we have internalized as individuals constituted in the contradictions of the capitalist system.

mentioned in this debate, as well as others that were generated, we confirm the intuition that certain genuine construction processes are being Americas, where wealth and complexity, motorized discussions worldwide. The presence of groups in many countries of our continent at this meeting contributed to sharing experiences and stories treat realized much of this complexity and generate demand for advance agreements concerning the challenges. As well expressed in the panel that discussed the social movements in our countries are difficult times ahead for the social majorities, in this sense, it is critical that we sharpen our tools to discuss issues as fundamental as those that make our educational practices.

In this context, as a balance sheet, saw the potential of the base buildings, on the way to build people power from below, in multiple spaces and territories, we're thinking is essential now to bet on the formation of all the comrades and the collective discussion. This will enable us reflect on our actions and projects from the beginning as the horizontal, the grass-roots democracy today enable us to be the change you want to see morning, and strategies to tighten our collective march toward social change we crave. Because we believe, with the Movimento Sem Terra in Brazil, which who fight, you know. But he reflects on his struggles, fights much better.
